Matses Bakstuga is a heritage conservation project which adaptively resuses a dilapitated woodshed and converts it into a bakstuga (baking cabin). Located within a mid-1800s farmstead, this bakstuga aims to reintroduce social and cultural heritage qualities to the farmstead. Traditional building methods will be combined with recycled materials and communally built over a week-long design-build workshop.

Expected completion in 2021.
